Kami and Heysell met in 2018 while serving as Spanish-speaking missionaries in Carlsbad, California. What began as a missionary companionship blossomed into a friendship and eventually a love story that neither of them expected. Today, they are happily married and building a life rooted in love and authenticity as they continue to navigate the intersection of faith and identity. Kami was born and raised in Riverton, Utah, while Heysell was born in El Salvador and moved to the United States at five years old. They now live in San Jose, California, where Heysell works as an Audiologist and Kami works for a nonprofit immigration law organization. Most known for traveling, their dog Rio, and pretending to have it all together.
