Jennifer Thomas is part-time trans feminine and lives with Mary Ann, her spouse of 47 years, in Forest Grove, Oregon.  She was born and raised in the church, and held numerous leadership callings including bishop and stake presidency member. She attended LDS church meetings as Jennifer for several years until the 2024 policy changes made that untenable, and now enjoys pursuing discipleship with the United Church of Christ in Forest Grove. She is a retired software engineer (from Intel corporation), and serves on the Forest Grove Planning Commission and Budget Committee, appearing sometimes as Jennifer and sometimes as her male self, Dave.
