Monica is the proud mother of five amazing adult children, two beautiful daughters-in-law, a darling grandson and two more grandbabies on the way.  Ten years ago, she learned that her second oldest child was transgender.  Two years later, she also learned she has a queer daughter. Walking alongside her children as they navigate their sexuality and gender identity has been a transformative journey, deepening her compassion and connecting her with a wonderful community of families.  Monica is passionate about ministering to parents of transgender children.  Her hope is that no parent will feel alone and that no child will feel unloved or unsupported. She hopes families will find strength in the Savior and discover hope and peace along the way. Monica is also involved in LGBTQ+ advocacy and education in her local community.
