RICHARD OSTLER
During his time as a YSA bishop, Richard Ostler learned to set aside past assumptions so he could better meet the spiritual needs of LGBTQ ward members. That experience grew into a lasting commitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to creating more understanding and support for LGBTQ members. He speaks at firesides and conferences about building Zion by more fully embracing members walking a unique road, recognizing their gifts, and helping them feel they belong.
He hosts the Listen, Learn and Love podcast. On it, Latter-day Saints share their stories on topics including being LGBTQ, repentance, early-release missions, overcoming pornography, emotional illness, grief, and faith crisis.
