We never want cost to be the reason someone misses Gather. If registration price is a barrier for you, we'd love to help. Gather Conference registration scholarships are made possible by the generous donations of Gather Conference attendees.*  

Who Are Scholarships For?

Scholarship applications are available for anyone who could benefit from financial assistance to attend Gather because the cost of registration may out of reach right now. This includes adults and youth, whether LGBTQ+ or not. We consider a variety of factors, including length of travel to attend the conference.

What's Covered?

Scholarships may cover full or partial registration costs, depending on the availability of scholarship funds. Gather scholarships are for offsetting some or all of the attendee’s registration costs (the cost for their registration / tickets for Gather conference), but will not cover other expenses like travel, food, or other accommodations. No cash is awarded (scholarships are awarded in the form of discount codes to be used during online registration).

Should I Register Before I Apply?

If you plan to apply for a scholarship for Gather Conference 2026, please wait to register until after you have applied for a scholarship and have received a response before you register for the conference. Scholarship recipients will receive a code that will give them a partial or full discount off the registration price. This scholarship coupon code is to be used during registration, as we are not able to provide refunds to those who have already purchased tickets. 

How to Apply:

The scholarship application is now open. Fill out the short form (purple button below). You will not be asked to provide proof of income or finances. You'll be asked to share a few pieces of information:

• A little about your situation and why attending Gather Conference matters to you 

• Whether you plan to attend both days of the conference or just one.

• How far you will be traveling to attend Gather Conference.

• Some basic information about your age range, whether you are a college student, whether you identify as LGBTQ, etc. None of this information is a deal-breaker, but some donations are made for specific groups, so this information is helpful to us in ensuring that the donation funds are dispersed correctly.

  We know that asking for help isn't always easy, and we're grateful you're willing to reach out. All of your personal information is kept confidential and will not be shared outside of the Gather team who is dispersing the scholarships.

How Decisions Are Made:

We consider each request individually, weighing factors like financial need and the number of scholarships available for this conference cycle. Because of the volume of requests we receive and the limited funds available, all scholarship decisions are final. We're not able to offer individual feedback on applications or reconsider decisions on a case-by-case basis.  

When Will I Find Out?

You'll hear from us within 1 week of applying, via the email you provide on your application. Please be sure to check your spam folder because scholarship emails often go to spam or trash. Emails will be sent to you from lynell@liftandlove.org and will have the word “scholarship” in the subject line. If you haven’t received a response within 1 week, contact lynell@liftandlove.org
